Yong Zheng is currently a senior lecturer at Department of Information Technology and Management, School of Applied Technology, Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, USA. He obtained his PhD degree in computer and information sciences from DePaul University in Chicago. Prior to IIT-Chicago, he worked with Dr. Bamshad Mobasher and Dr. Robin Burke on Web Personalization, Recommender Systems and User Modeling.

His research interests lie in Data Science for Web Intelligence which applies various techniques to serve business and Web intellgience in real-world applications. Currently, he focuses the research on user modeling, affective computing, behavior analysis, user personalities, learning analytics and recommender systems. But he is also interested in the following topics:
